Another TKD promotion in the Arab States
Dear fellow members of the world TKD family,
It seems like only yesterday when New Year's resolutions had been made. But the year's end is only just around the corner.
This year, the same as past years, I was busy in TKD propagation by giving TKD Demonstrations to the countries where TKD is just about to start booming such as the Arab states and Africa.
For three weeks in November, I visited the three countries of Yemen, Libya and Tunisia with the TKD Demo team from my school. Although there were some difficulties before the final schedule was set, those hardships couldn't discourage my will in getting them to know how wonderful the sport of TKD is.
In each country I saw audiences whom whether they were TKD lovers or not were extremely excited. Especially the young generation's hearty cheers gave me a great impression because TKD Ibelieve suggests a new type of education model to discipline the youngsters. I felt once again that, as our slogan says, we are "one thru TKD".
I met many people in each country including government authorities, members of TKD Federation, local businessmen, masters and TKD practitioners. I listened to them. I, as one of the TKD lovers in the sport's mother country, learned what more I can do to help plant TKD. Without their immeasurable help from the start to the end, it would have been next to impossible for us to bear such good fruits during last month's TKD trip.
As I mentioned in the previous news letter, we are already working on next year's World TKD Festival & Korea Open in the city of Jeonju where it secures the preservation of time-honored arts and traditions. We'll witness how the dynamic martial art of TKD and static ancient culture blends so well together. For this I strongly recommend you to join the festivities we are preparing for you.
